James Van Der Beek began acting at age Xiii, swimming Danny Zuko in a his school's performance of Grease. He began auditioning within New York City at age 16 & appeared in the off-Broadway play Sorting through a Sun; he likewise appeared in the play Shenandoah inside 1994.
